why gate inputcost is G=12?? is that G=14??

Input cost can be calculated by summing the following factors:

1. No of literals
2. No of terms
3. No compliments.

In the equation A'C'(B+D') +AC(B+D')

1. No literals (A' ,C' , B ,D' , A , C ) = 6 (Note B and D' are repeatation)
2. Terms= A'C' , (B+D') ,AC .

Note Here (B+D') is repeated term not required to consider.

Therefore no terms = 3

3. Compliments are  A' C' and D' . Note Here D' is repeated. So its not required to be considered.

Therefore no compliments = 3

Therefore input cost= No of literals +No of terms+No compliments.

=6+3+3

=12
