Answer: “Option 1- decreasing with latitudes” is correct.

At the equator (0 degree attitude), the sun angle is 90 degrees. This is why this attitude receives concentrated sunlight and has warm temperature almost all year round.

As the latitude increase (30, 60 and 90 degrees latitude), the sun angle is lower and thus the sunlight received is diffused covering more area. At the poles, the sunlight received has the lower angle and thus the temperature decrease towards the poles.

Note:

  • Option 2 and 4 is wrong because longitude has nothing to do with sun angle.
  • Option 3 is wrong because the sun angle actually decreases with latitude.
