Robust testing is any quality assurance methodology focused on testing the robustness of software. It is defind as the degree which a system operates correctly in the presence of exceptional inputs or stressful environmental conditions. It is to develop test cases and test environments where a system's robustness can be accessed.

The success criteria is in most cases : if it is not crash or hang then it is robust

Examples : Fuzz, Ballista, Jcrasher, Protos.

Dependability Benchmarking is the aim to develop a public benchmark specification which focuses on evaluating the dependabilty of system.
