Answer #1

Given: Distance R= 18.0 km = 18,000 m

S= ? , θ= 9.18×10^-3 radians

We hve to calculate the distance travelled S, as it crosses the moon,

S = Rθ

S-> arc length travelled by aircraft = Rθ

(R = radius, θ = angle in radians)
S = Rθ
S = 18000m x 9.18× 10^-3rad ►S = 165.24 m

S= 165 m _Ans.
