The region below ~ 1600 cm-1 (the right-hand side of the IR spectra, perticularly from about 1500 to 500 cm-1) usually contains a very complicated series of absorptions. This region is fingerprint region.

These absorptions are basicaally due to all manner of bending vibrations within the molecule.
