Job Description: IT Application Developer – Production Support

Equifax is currently seeking an experienced IT Application Developer in Alpharetta, GA, with experience in the design, development and support of complex global applications. The Application Developer will be responsible for debugging and developing code updates to support the Global Consumer Systems platform. Additionally, the Application Developer must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management and staff within the organization, attention to detail, and ability to understand complex technical and business environments.

Responsibilities Include:

- Participating in all aspects of the SDLC lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment

- Analysis of requirements, design and development of robust and scalable solutions to business or operations problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards

- Participating in design and code reviews

- Coordinate planning and design of new systems to maximize reuse of applications/components, application patterns and adherence to technology standards

- Provide technical guidance to onshore/offshore development teams

- Assist Production Support when required

- Open to learning any new Technologies such IBM BPM and ODM

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or related

- 5-7 years of software development experience

- Design, implement and test software applications using a variety of technologies, including, but not limited to:

o C, C++ programming in a Solaris UNIX environment

o Bourne/Korn shell scripting

o Perl Scripting

o Oracle SQL Scripting

o IPC and client/server communications via sockets and RPC

o Java / J2EE web and Web Services applications

- Experience with debugging techniques, concepts, and tools in software development

- Experience with Oracle OCI and mainframe communications via CRT emulation is a plus

- Experience with web technologies such as Java Script, SOAP, CSS, HTML, IDEs, WebSphere

- Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal customers, other internal teams and peer IT team

- Ability to work independently and in an onshore/offshore team environment

- Deep understanding of entire development process and technical knowledge in software development methodologies including design and implementation

- Object Oriented Analysis and Design skills

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Experience in agile software development methodology is a plus
