Muscles of posterior Thigh are:

- Bicep femoris : Flexion and Lateral rotation of leg, Extension of Thigh

- Semimembranous: Flexion of Leg, extension of thigh

- Semitendinosus: Flexion of Leg, extension of thigh

Short head of bicep femoris cause Flexion and lateral rotation knee becuase it is attached to the linea aspara and lateral supracondylar line of the femur.

It can not produce extension of the hip joint which is caused by the long head only.
