Answer #1

Solution:

We know that

(P1 V1) / T1 = (P2 V2) / T2

Where P1 is the inital pressure = 750 torr

P2 is the final pressure = 750 torr

V1 is the inital volume = 625 mL

V2 is the final volume = ?

T1 is the initail temprature = 293 K

T2 is the final temprature = 193 K

So putting these valuse in the equation

(750 torr x 625 mL) / 293 K = (750 torr x V2) / 193 K

V2 = (750 torr x 625 mL x 193 K) / (293 K x 750 torr)

= 411. 7 mL
