Both of the reactions are examples of Michael addition reaction, i.e. 1,4-addition of a active methylene compound (known as a Michael donor) to an alpha,beta-unsaturated carbonyl compound (known as a Michael acceptor). The mechanism for both the reactions are same so I have generalized it. The products are written separately though.
