-CHOH (alcohol) changed to C=O (ketone), so oxidized, hence oxidation-reduction (forward direction oxidation, backward direction is reduction)

It is well known example that glucose to fructose (glycolysis) & citrate to isocitrate (Citric acid cycle) is an example for isomerization

Acetyl-CoA to Acetate is an example for group transfer by deliver the acetyl group to the citric acid cycle.
