Answer #1

Answer:- C a strong acid

solution:- for this question so many people will think about pH that it is very less than 7 so it will be strong acid but there are no criteria between a strong acid and weak acid.

so for that

we know that strong acid dissociates very easily while weak acid does not

so here concentration of H+ is given and also we can calculate it from pH then if both values are same then it will be strong acid and if it is not the same then it will be a weak acid.

so pH is less than 7 only tells it is acid, not weak or strong.

it is given that,

[H+] = 0.0035

pH = 2.46

since we know that

pH = - log[H+]

[H+] = 10-2.46

[H+] = 0.0035

so the both values are matching that tells it is strong acid
