pH = pKa + log [CH3COONa]/[CH3COOH]

pKa = - log K = - log 1.8 x 10-5 = 4.74

[CH3COONa] = (0.91 / 82.03)(1000 / 11.1) = 0.999 M

[CH3COOH] = 0.50 M

pH = 4.74 + log [0.999]/[0.50]

pH = 4.74 + 0.30

pH = 5.04

pH change = 5.04 - 2.52 = 2.52
