Answer #1

According to raoults Law,

Psolution = ΧsolventP0solvent.

Xsolvent = nsolvent/(nsolvent+n solute)

solvent = h2o

solute = KClO3

At 70 degree celcius,

solubility of KClO3 is 30g in 100g of water,

so, moles of KCLO3 = 30/122.5 = 0.244

moles of h20 = 100/18 = 5.55.

Xsolvent = 5.55/(5.55+0.244) = 0.95

P0solvent.(at 70 degree celcius )= 233.7mm Hg

Psolution = Χsolvent*P0solvent.

Psolution = 0.95*233.7 = 223.6 mmHg (Answer)
