Given reaction is :

M + 3X ---------> 2Y

Overall rate = -Δ[M]/Δt = -Δ[X]/3.Δt = + Δ[Y]/2.Δt

Therefore,

The relative rate of change of X is :

-Δ[X]/3.Δt = + Δ[Y]/2.Δt

-Δ[X]/Δtreactant = 3/2 Δ[Y]/Δtproduct (Option B)

Where -ve sign shows that concentration of reactants i.e. X decreases with time.
