Answer #1

Mass of AlCl3 = 12.5 g

Volume of the solution = 400 ml

Molar mass of AlCl3 = 133.34 g/mol

Concentration of AlCl3 = 12.5 g x 1000ml / (400 ml x 133.34 g/mol) = 0.234 M

Each AlCl3 will release 3 Cl- ions.

Concentration of Cl- ions = 0.234 M x 3 = 0.703 M

Hence Concentration of Cl- ions is 0.703 M

Option D is correct answer
