Lattice energy is directly proportional to the charges and inversely proportional to the distance between the ions . More effective is packing of ions ,higher will be the negative value , more energy is released , hence stable the ionic compound.
In KBr, K has +1 and Br has -1 charge. Whereas in K2S , K has +1 charge and S has - 2 charge. KBr has more effective packing than K2S . so. it will have more negative value of lattice enrgy.
