IR spectrum of isoamyl acetate is very pure , this is due to the fact that a broad peak of -OH group around 3400-3600 cm-1 of the starting precursors or starting materials is compleatly absent.Neither acid nor isoamyl alchol -OH groups is present in your IR spectrum. Besides , an intense peak around 1742 cm-1 for ester carbonyl further authenticates the given structure.
can someone tell me if isoamyl acetate is pure on this IR spectrum. why or why...
Can someone explain to me why there is a peak pointed upwards on this IR spectrum data sheet? Could it be because the salt plates were scratched or thin? %T 13 15 70 4000.6 3000 1000 649.893 2000 Wavenumber [cm-1]
