Energy of photon = hv

Where h is planck's constant and v is the frequency of light. So B is correct.

2. Alkenes and cycloalkanes can be distinguished by IR. Because in alkene there is double bond. Where as in cycloalkane single bond between carbon is present. Double bond is more strong than singal . So , frequency for double bonded carbon (sp2) will be high as compared to singal bonded ( sp3).

So option C is correct.
