The equation for diffraction grating to use here is

dsinθ = mλ

so, sinθ = mλ/d

The spacing gets wider for greater values of sinθ.

Therefore, for sinθ to increase, wavelength would have to increase or spacing decrease

Answer A works, increase the wavelength

Answer B fails, when you immerse in water, the velocity of the waves decreases, and thus the wavelength

Answer C fails, its the opposite

Therefore you can see that D and E fail as well

The only answer is A
