Answer #1

4. For any General reaction : aA + bB \rightleftharpoons cC + dD

Reaction quotient = [C]* *[D] [A]* * [B]*

where terms in square brackets represent concentration of the species at any instant of time. i.e Reaction quotient relates the concentration of products to the reactants at any instant of time. Also, it may or may not be equal to equilibrium constant at a particular instant of time.

Correct statement is : Reaction quotient relates the concentration of products to the reactants at any instant of time.

5. Equilibrium constant has the same relation as reaction quotient but only difference is that, the concentration terms in the relation are equilibrium concentrations. Hence, equilibrium constant relates the ratio of concentration of products to reactants once equilibrium is established. also, it is equal to reaction quotient only when equilibrium is established.

correct statement is : equilibrium constant relates the ratio of concentration of products to reactants once the reaction has reached chemical equilibrium
