Point prevalence is defined as the proportion of population that has the condition at aparticular time. Here, we are given the case of COVID-19 infected people on a particular date.

The formula for calculating point prevalence is:

Numerator

Number of current cases (new and preexisting) at a specified point in time

Denominator

Population at the same specified point in time

Total number of confirmed cases are 317.

Population of Japan:126,572,776.

Dividing the two we get: 2.504*10-6  which is equal to 2.51 per ten lakhs population.

So, accordingly point prevalence seems to be option (b)
