Answer #1

1) Option (a) is the correct one.

i.e. Peroxidase

A catalyst is a substance which speeds up the reaction without being consumed itself.

H2O2(aq) + 2H+(aq) + 2 + 2H20 (1)

2) So fermentation is the process in which a substance is breaked down into the simpler ones. The muscles perform this activity during any tough exercise which is marked by the limited supply of oxygen to the cells. The reactant of this process is pyruvate which is produced during glycolysis & NADH and the products formed are NAD+ and lactic acid.

(Electron accepter)

So option (e) is the correct answer.

The oxidation of glucose with organic molecules serving as electron acceptors

3) It is the minimum amount of pressure whih is applied to a solution to prevent the inward flow of its solvent across a semipermeable membrane. And we know that pressure is measured in terms of force and area.

So option (d) is the correct one.

i.e. The force with which a solvent moves across a semipermeable membrane from a higher to a lower concentration.

4) The chemoautotrophs, which are capable of taking carbon from inorganic sources ( they can convert them into useful organic compounds) are also capable of taking hydrogen atoms and using them for the purpose of energy.
So option (b) is the correct one.
i.e. Chemoautotrophs

5) Oxidizing agent is a substance that has the ability to remove electron from the another atom. Everything in the options except the glutaraldehyde has the ability to remove electron from another atom.

So option (a) is the correct one.

i.e. Glutaraldehyde
