Answer #1

Answer-

Dominant allele can express itself even in heterozygous condition but recessive allele can express itself in homozygous condition.

Proportion of offspring being heterozygous for 2 genes is 1/4; proportion of offspring being heterozygous for 1 gene is 1/2.

So, proportion of offspring being heterozygous for atleast 1 gene is 1/4 + 1/2 = 3/4

Explanation is provided below:

genotype - B- Phenotype Black fur Brecon quer Long hair short hair bb - R- ror A heterozygous rabbit with long, be black fur

In some mice, black fur (B) is dominant to white (b). At a different locus, a dominant allele (A) produces a band of red just below the tip of each hair. The expression of the recessive allele (a) results in solid coat color. If rabbits that are heterozygous at both loci are crossed: -what proportion of their offspring is expected to have a solid color? -what proportion of their offspring is expected to be white with a red band? -what...

In rabbits, spotted coat (S) is dominant to solid color (s) and black (B) is dominant to brown (b). A true-breeding black spotted rabbit is mated to a true-breeding brown solid rabbit to Iproduce a heterozygous F1 generation. Two F1 individuals are mated. You see the four expected phenotypes of offspring, but not in the expected 9:3:3:1 (black spotted: black solid: brown spotted: brown solid) ratio. This tells you that o that the genes for fur pattern (spotted vs. non-spotted)...

Fur color in dogs can be black, brown or white. The B gene is responsible for fur color. Dogs that inherit a dominant B will have black fur. Dogs that inherit 2 recessive alleles, bb, will have brown color. There is a second gene that contributes to fur color in dogs: gene I. Individuals who inherit a dominant allele, I, at this location, will always have white color. Individuals who inherit the homozygous recessive condition, ii, will be able to...
