Germ layer - formed in the earliest stages of embryonic development - consist of

  • the endoderm (inner layer),
  • the mesoderm (middle layer), and
  • the ectoderm (outer layer).

Endoderm - form many of the internal linings of the body, like large intestine, alveoli of lungs

Mesoderm - blood vessels, spinal cord, bicep muscle, bones of spine, soles of feet, frontal lobe of brain
