Enzyme - urease
Substrate - urea
Product - ammonia and carbondioxide
Enzymes are the molecules which catalyse biological reactions without being consumed in the reaction themselves. Enzyme bind to its substrate according to lock and key hypothesis or according to induced fit theory. Then enzyme substrate complex is formed. This is followed by conversion of substrate into product. Finally the product is released from the enzyme and enzyme molecule is free to bind to another molecule of substrate.
