Answer #1

Hypertonic solution has high concentration of solute and draw the out from cells and causes cell to shrink. 0.9% NaCl solution is isotonic to the red blood cells. This prevents loss and gain of water. Hypotonic solution has low concentration of solute than cells that allow water to move in the cells. Excess water movement in the cells causes lysis of cells. A 10% NaCl solution is hypertonic to the cells.

So only option 2 and option 4 are correct

under the derms of the skin. Tus II S UV y Puomu solution A has a lower solute concentration (or lower osmolality) than solution B. The prefix hyper means above or greater. For example, a hyperactive kid has a greater activity level than a normal kid. In the above example, B has a greater solute concentration than A, thus B is hyperosmotic to A. The prefix iso means the same or equal. Two solutions that are isosmotic to each other...

check my answer please if it wrong correct me Osmosis is an ongoing process in the body that is possible because cell membranes are selectively permeable (semipermeable). Osmosis effects can be observed in the lab. For example, differences in osmotic pressure inside and outside a red blood cell can result in crenation (shriveling) or hemolysis (rupture). For this reason, care must be taken when administering intravenous (IV) fluids to hospital patients. If the IV solution has a different concentration from...
