Answer #1

1. Plants belonging to the division pteridophyta are larger than that of the plants belonging to division bryophyta because pteridophytes are more developed in comparison to bryophytes. They have slightly well differentiated plant body and they also contain primitive type of conducting cells and tissues.

2. The leaves are reduced in to leaf like appendages so as to minimise water loss. And the other feature is that the process of photosynthesis is taken up by Green photosynthetic stem.

3. Absence of true leaves and absence of true roots, are the two main features due to which we call psilotum as a living Fossil. Instead, leaf appendages and rhizoids are present which are very reduced forms of leaves and roots respectively.

4. The most important difference between the life cycle of a bryophyte and pteridophyte is that the dominant phase in the life cycle of a bryophyte is a haploid gametophyte whereas in pteridophytes it is a diploid sporophyte.

According to rules, I can answer only first four questions. Please give a high rating.
