5. What would be the result if a cell completed interphase and mitosis but failed to complete cytokinesis? That is, how many cells would there be, and how many chromosomes relative to the parent cell would those cells have?

If a cell is completing its interphase and mitosis but failed to complete cytokinesis the cell would not result in formation of two daughter cells.

There would be only one cell and the number of chromosomes would be double that of the parent cell.

The reason is, it is undergoing DNA replication in S-phase of interphase and failure of cytokinesis (division of cytoplasm) would result in formation of a single cell having two set of chromosomes.
