The conversion of dihydroxy acetone phosphate (DHAP) into glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate results into the production of 2 time more ATP and NADH.

for each G3P breakdown there is synthesis of 2 ATP and one NADH.so from one glucose molecule 2 G3P are synthesized to produce 4 ATP and 2 NADH(equivalent to 6 ATP)

Total 10 ATP are synthesized in glycolysis and 2 are used at initiwl stage of glycolysis.

In these pathways, NADH donates its electrons to an electron acceptor molecule in a reaction that doesn’t make ATP but it can regenerate NAD+ .
