Why are genes more than 50cM away from each other considered “unlinked?”

If two genes are 75cM away from each other, they are not genetically linked, so how do we even know that they are 75cM away from each other?

In the linkage,if the distance is less than 50 centi morgan then they are liked because chances of crossing over is low and too much low if distance between the gene is very much less.so if the distance greater than 50 cM then they are unlinked,they shows the independent assortment of mendelian characters of inheritance,

We can find the diatance between the 2 genes by calculating the no. Of recombinants / total offspring ×100..by calculating this we can find the distance between thw gene.
