Lysosomes are the membrane bound organelles.

They digest the unwanted materials present in the cytoplasm.

The lysosome digest the unwanted proteins in cytosol.

And act as a phagosome and digests the bacteria .

And also digests the LDL taken by a cell and converts into cholesterol.

And finally the lysosome cannot digest the mitochondrion in a starved cell.
