Convergence lifting is defined as a type of lifting that occurs when two air masses near the surface flows together and meet due to which it is pushed upwards into the atmosphere. When two strong masses of air meets at horizontal surface it results in squeezing of the air masses which causes it to rise in the atmosphere.
