a) Females expeiences more limitation to their reproductive success due to unavailability of mates. For many females availability of mate is very low. For about 55 of females availability of mate is restricted even less than 1 in one species. same in the case of other species . female to mate ratio is larger than male to mate ratio. Males are capable of producing more ,even millions of sperms. males have greater reproductive variance.

b) Males have more discriminating regarding mates because males provide higher mating success compared to females
