Ans b) The mother with blood type A can receive blood from Father and Child 3 i.e from blood type O and A respectively because in blood type A , the A antigen is present on the RBC and Anti-B antibodies are produced. So, Blood type B will not work because blood type B RBCs have B antigen which can react with the Anti-B antibodies in the mothers blood.Similarly, AB blood type will also not work because it has A and B antigens on the RBCs. Wheras Blood type A has A antigen which will not react with Anti-B antibodies in the mother's blood.Blood type O has no antigens present on the RBC and thus, blood Type O is considered as universal donor.
