Situational questions are the ones that are created out of a made-up scenario and test what decision will a person make under those circumstances. Some of the examples are:

1. How will you deal with a difficult coworker in this job?

2. How will you handle the resistance of your team to your new idea?

3. How will you handle the situation when you aren't satisfied with a particular aspect of your job?

4. How would you handle when your team member doesn't work as per your expectations or below average?

5. How would you handle if the project you've finished to 90% extent, has got its priorities and goals changed?

Behavioural questions are asked in order to know about what the person has done in the past (or how he has reacted/ managed) under a given situation. Some of the examples are:

1. Tell me about a time when you worked closely with a person who had a personality very different than you.

2. Tell me about a time when you thought you could have handled the situation differently.

3. Have you tried to get the information from a person who wasn't very responsive? How?

4. How did you handle a difficult client?

5. Tell me about a time when you failed and how did you deal with the failure?
