H_ {o}: \mu = 35

H_ {1}: \mu > 35

T = 40

n = 19

\sigma = 7

\mu_{o} = 35

Test statistic is

Z = (\bar{x}-\mu _{o})/(\sigma/\sqrt{n})

Z = (40 - 35 ) / (7 / 4.3589)

Z = 3.1135

Therefore the value of test statistic is Z = 3.1135

H_ {o}: \mu = 35

H_ {1}: \mu > 35

critical vale at \alpha = 0.05 for given test is

z_{\alpha } = 1.645
