Answer #1

Use law of conservation of energy

Spring potential energy = gravitational energy of the mass

1/2kx^2=mgh

H= elongation of the spring = x

1/2kx^2 = mgx

kx^2= 2mgx

kx=2mg

x=2mg/k

x=(2*3*9.8)/58

x=1.01 m = 101cm

End of the spring = original length+spring elongation = 19cm+101cm = 120 cm
