(a) Domain- The domain of a function is the set of all values fir which it is defined. It is basically the interval on x axis. It is represented in ascending order.

Also, as we can observe from the graph that the boundary points are represented by dark dots, therefore it is a closed function.

Therefore, Domain = [ -1,4]

(b) Range- Range of a function is the set of all values which it can achieve. It is basically the interval on y axis. It is always taken in ascending order

Therefore, Range = [ -1,3]

(c) The function is said to be increasing on the intervals, where y coordinate increases with increase in value of x on graph. It is represented by intervals on x axis

Therefore, the given function is increasing at-

( -1,1) and ( 2,4)

(d) The function is said to be decreasing on the interval where the y coordinate decreases with increase in value of x coordinate on graph. It is represented by intervals on x axis.

Therefore, the given function is decreasing at-

( 1,2)
