Question

MATLAB problem

Imagine we have three types of coins in a bag: Fair Coin (FC) with Pr(Head) = Pr(Tail) = 0.5; Head-heavy Coin (HC) with Pr(Head) = 0.4; and Tail-heavy Coin (TC) with Pr(Head) = 0.6. A coin is randomly picked out of the bag. Write a MATLAB code that can estimate the type of this coin

The result graph should look like this:

Flipping a Fair Coin for 400 Times Fiping a Coin (1 for Head and 0 for Tal) Evolution of the Pasterior Probabilities Far Coin

Write a Java program which uses the LWJGL library to draw a window of 640x480 (with a black background). The coordinate system should be centered in this window. Your program will read a file titled coordinates.txt and draw the corresponding filled polygon in this window using the scanline polygon fill algorithm. Each specified polygon should be filled in the color specified in the text file and then undergo the transformations specified in the input file before being drawn on the...

PROBLEM 4 (20 pts) Water at 25 °C is used to cool oil from 120 °C to 80 °C. Oil flows at a rate of 1 kg/s in a tube of inside diameter 1.6 cm and outside diameter 1.9 cm. The tube makes 18 passes in a shell. Water flows through the shell at a rate of 1.5 kg/s. The water side heat transfer coefficient is 12,000 W/m2°C. Oil properties at 100 °C are: Cp = 2219J/(kg.), k = 0.137...

The variables ATAR score, MathsReady test score, attendance at SLC Drop-in and hours of study per week were considered. The 95% confidence interval for the intercept is [1.24, 18.22] or 1.24 - 18.22. A variable is considered a significant predictor if the 95% confidence interval does not contain zero. Which of the variables ‘ATAR score’, ‘MathsReady test...
