1. B is the right answer. Keratin has more cysteine which leads to more disulfide bonding and that leads to higher level of rigidity which is shown in case of nails and lesser cysteine and less disulfide bonding in case of hair which makes it more flexible than nails. All the other options are wrong as they do not correctly state the fact regarding keratin and disulfide bonds.

2. A is the right answer. When the hair is permed, the disulfide bonds reduced and now the cysteine amino acid is free to move and is reshaped and the an oxidizing agent is used to reverse the effect of the reducing agent used to reduce the disulfide bonds. All the other options are incorrect as they do not appropriately state what exactly happens when the hairs are permed.
