Question

With this giving information answer the following prompt that will be included in the end on the photo.

Micro-environment:

Mowing the lawn is traditionally a do it yourself (DIY) project, but it's an easy area to neglect and worth the cost to outsource. A lawn mower is a machine that utilizes one or more revolving blades to cut a grass surface to an even height. This is done manually, and it is time consuming. Not to mention some may vary in prices starting at $150 dollar and up. Lawn mowers can be prices and they basically just cut grass.

Another competition would be a gardener, which is a person who tends and cultivates a lawn and garden as a pastime or for a living. Prices do fluctuate depending on the type and amount of services you need. Some pros will itemize them individually, while others may package them together. They can also vary depending on your location. Lawn fertilization ensures soil stability and plant health and this ranges from prices around $350 dollars. Watering your lawn compensates for lack of rainfall or dry conditions. This option consists of multiple payments and would require you to get the job done several times which may be costly or time consuming that is why “Loomba” would be a great alternative.

We are going to design a lawn mower which works on solar energy and stays in the garden. The product will be waterproof and would not need any kind of charging from external source. It would be safe charging and have sensors in order to detect the weeds. It will automatically cut off any excessive grass and weeds from the garden. This lawn mower would have the capability to operate on itself to maintain the cleaning. By having a rough automatic lawn mower for the gardens in the cities, very little effort would be needed to maintain the garden and maintain the plants. This product will ensure the quality growth of the plants in the garden and would provide an effortless gardening.

Roomba would be a great potential partner for our business because of the fact that they have the cleaning vacuum, which would allow for another market expanding what they already have. The Loomba Lawnmower would a new machine that has the capacity to do so much more than a lawnmower or a gardener. The pricing for the Loomba would range from $500-$700 dollars. The prices would range from color to certain features that they may or may not need, making it a bit more affordable. They would also offer a layaway payment plan which allows people to pay little by little just incase they do not have all the money at once.

Macro-environment:

This product will best fit people for people who don’t have time to spend gardening they can just set it up and let it do its thing, older people who are not capable of doing heavy work and those who rather sit back and let technology do it’s work. This product is very affordable which is good for the market in many ways. Such as low-income people would be able to afford it as well as high-income and middle class. This product will change the way society see gardening because as there will only be a one time charge to cut the lawn for the rest of their life. And they won’t have to worry about hiring gardener after gardener.

SWOT ANALYSIS:

Strengths:

Loomba is a high-tech lawn mower that can be programmed by nearly anyone which is convenient. This innovated lawn mower is waterproof, has sensors, and works on solar energy along with other features.

Weakness:

Loomba is a new product, from a new company, which can be difficult to attract consumers. It may be simpler for consumers to purchase a product from well-known brands.

Opportunities:

Because the use of technology is efficient and used throughout the American population, consumers can well adapt to this product.

Threats:

A threat that this innovated lawn mower will confront is the price because Loomba has a high value. Compared to non-innovated mower alternatives in the market, Loomba will have a high price due to its features.

4. Business and Marketing Objectives Your objectives should be based on the analysis of your marketing environment (macro and micro) and your SWOT analysis. Based on your analysis, what are the specific objectives you want to achieve? Things to include/consider: You must be able to define specific, measurable outcomes and define a time frame in which to achieve your goals. If an objective is not measurable, its meaningless. If its not specific, its meaningless. If you do not define a time by which to achieve your goal, its meaningless. You may have three to five objectives in both the short-term and long-term. Make sure each one meets the criteria mentioned above. .
