7. For 18 months old child he will be able to walk up and downstairs. As he must have gain balance and co ordination.

8. Temper tantrums are common in this age. Mother should explain the child why he cannot have what he wants and promise him a reward when he stops crying.

9. Spend a night with your child so that he feels safe and secure. During day hours child can get himself adjusted with toys and other children in the hospital.

10. The child will obviously cry when the parents leave. Nurse can help the child indulge in other activities so that he gets diverted from his parents for time being.

11. Playing with sandbox can be the most appropriate activity. In preschooler age children's are more prone to accidental hazards.
