Answer #1

stage 1

The range of systolic pressure is 140-159 mm Hg categorized under Hypertension stage 1. If the systolic pressure is 160 or more, it is categorized as hypertension stage 2. If systolic pressure is between 120 to 139, it lies under the category of high normal. If Systolic pressure is more then 180 mm Hg, it is considered as stage 3 hypertension.

Blood pressure is a measure of the blood force against the walls of the arteries. Blood pressure that is consistently more than 140/90 mm Hg is considered high, but for people with diabetes, 130/80 mm Hg is considered high. Normal blood pressure is below 120/80 mm Hg. The larger value represents the pressure when the heart contracts and pushes blood out (systolic), and the smaller value is the lowest pressure when the heart relaxes between beats (diastolic). Consider a population...

A special diet is intended to reduce systolic blood pressure among patients diagnosed with stage 2 hypertension. After six months on the diet, an SRS of 28 patients had an average systolic blood pressure of = 143, with standard deviation s = 21. Is this sufficient evidence that the diet is effective in meeting the target? Assume that the...
