I was raised in this model in 1980s where my father worked and mother was a house maker. Father and mother both had critical role , one .managed resourced for us while other managed the resources well to fulfill the demand of everyone adequately.

Society does acknowledged the role of mother as housewife and mother was respected I side and outside both. However , decision making was dominantly in the hands of father X specially in financial matters. Moreover , the problem was that mother potential to earn and grow in career was hampered.

Since father started working very early and mother left after I got born , it is difficult to compare who would earn more but it is sure that mother could have earn s respectable amount and would have grown significantly in her career.
