One of the students in New Group 1 brought up something that should be of interest to everyone here and that is creating trust. The old adage is that it takes years (sometimes) to build trust in an organization and it can be lost in a matter of seconds.

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

How do YOU create trust especially during change? How do you keep it? How is it so critical during times of change? How is it critical at other times?

answer-

Trust is very important which definitely takes years to build because we can not just believe another person in a day or two. In order to build trust especially during change in organization, we have to be open minded and express ourself to others. If we keep ourself isolated from others then others will start to ignore us. second , we have to create culture of safety in which employees or people feel safe and tell everything to each other. for example- if i have secret which is causing me depress and telling my co worker will help me to reduce it. if i find that my co worker spread my secret then i will not feel safe again and will not trust such person.

In order to keep trust intact, we must keep supporting and respecting people around us. If we treat people with respect and support them in difficult times then they show trust in us and help us in future. for example- if organization reduces salary of employees and i face financial crisis. I go to my co worker and ask for some money then he give me the money in such adverse time then it shows that co worker has trust in me and supported me. If i do not return the money back and show negative attitude to that co worker then i will be breaking his trust.

Trust is always important in all times because it helps people to build strong relationship with each other, teach them to be honest and truthful with each other. A good team work and person growth depend on trust people have among each other. we can take example of sports player who show trust in each other even if they have thier own clashes and conflicts but they trust that each team member will play to win the game.
