protozoa do not form monophyletic,Protists are a paraphyletic group because animals, fungi, and plants are the crown groups evolved from different lineages of the protists. They aren't included in the same group as protists taxonomically.

- Includes Excavata and SAR clade (at least)
- Ciliates, Amoeba, plasmodium (Apicomplexans)

"fungus-like" protists form a monophyletic group,Slime molds

seaweeds" do not form a monophyletic group,Red/brown algae
