Morning After Pill

1. Can be taken within 120 hours after unprotected intercourse

2. 89% effectiveness rate if taken within 72 hours after uprotected intercourse

3. It will not terminate an established pregnancy

4. EC inhibits ovulation and thickens cervical mucus

5. Females ages 18 and older can buy the morning after pill without a prescription

6. Females under the age of 18 still needs a doctor's note to buy the pill

Side effects :-

- Nausea and vomiting

- These side effects can persist from a few hours to a few days.

- Serious side effects such as irregular bleeding , headaches , dizziness , blood clots, (heart attack and stroke are extremely rare.)
