Good question
The reaction is known as Friedel Craft alkylation reaction
wherein the AlCl3 acts as catalyst for formation of alkylated
product.
During the reaction, there is formation of carbocation as
intermediate.
Since in aromatic system, due to resonance, the stability of
intermediate carbo cation increases, it also results into increase
in number of attacking sites on aromatic ring.
Therefore, the electrophile can attack 3 different positions in
aromatic ring resulting into formation of multiple products.

why wont this give a mono-substitured product? what does it give multile products? ta AICI3

Give an example of a product that has price elasticity and a product that does not have price elasticity and give reasons why for each. It's a good idea to also offer substitutes for those products when defending your arguments.
Mono addition of HBr to conjugated dienes leads to multiple products, and a given addition product can arise from more than one conjugated diene. Given below are the structures of five pairs of dienes - possible reactants in the reaction - and two allylic bromide products. Identify the pair of dienes wherein each diene can serve as a precursor for both of the addition products. Note that not all possible products are shown.
