GDPR is a regulation is a  law for  data protection and privacy in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). It deals with processing to safeguard the  personal data. Based on GDPR, Information systems must be designed to with highest privacy settings. It is a regulation to protect  personal data, how it can be used to identify a person and how personal data can be used further.

System Administrator has to provide protection of data by methods like

Extensive Security Scanning

Locate and identify devices, software and open ports, and gather other system information and as a system administrator has to correlate this information and address security vulnerabilities.

Reliable logging mechanisms

System administrators has to detect security breaches. System administrator to customize the logging mechanismss. special attention must be given to failed login attempts.

Network filters and firewalls

System Administrator has to create a company policy regarding access requests and enforce network traffic filtering rules.  Review and update  firewall and web filter on a periodic basis .

Managing software

System administror must identity and deploy downloading and installing effective and reliable softwares.

Strong passwords

Two factor authentication and strong password for system administrator will help to manage the system with high protection and security implemented by technology.

Active Directory

Active directory is a service tthat allow system administrator to manage users, computers, and other objects by granting permissions at different levels.

Domain Controller

A domain controller is a server that responds to authentication requests and verifies users on computer networks. A domain controller has an Active Directory database which  organizes users and computers that work together on the same network. The domain controller can create user accounts ,  delete it , grant and revoke security permissions.

OUs in AD

An organizational unit (OU) is a subdivision within an Active Directory We can place users, groups, computers, and other organizational units, to which we can assign Group Policy settings and  administrative authority. It can manage the configuration and use of accounts and resources based on respective organizational model.
