Explanation: I am using Excel to solve the correlation between the data sets of the age and movie rating by copying the data into the Excel sheet. Take any empty cell, put the formula =CORREL(E7:E10,F7:F10) for selecting both columns as the data array, and the function CORREL() will give us the correlation between these two arrays of variables which comes out to be -0.970440837 which is almost equal to the -0.97.

The calculations should look like the following screenshot of the EXCEL:
